CABOCHON GRANDE Carnelian Centerpiece
This red variety of chalcedony, named for the lustrous, orange-red cornel cherry, has been made into beads since the Neolithic Period. In Roman times, carnelian was engraved to create the signet rings that stamped the wax seals on important documents.
